After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Hope, Blackstone Valley Prep was happy to have turned things around  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Times Squared Academy Eagles with a sharp  13-2 win. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the PRIDE this season.

 Alex Torres made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with five  stolen bases, four  runs,  and one  double. He has become a key player for Blackstone Valley Prep: the team is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  Adrian Fernandez Jimenez was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI.  Cameron Beaudreau was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with five  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Blackstone Valley Prep  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .545. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.

 Looking ahead, Blackstone Valley Prep will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Juanita Sanchez Complex  at 4:30  p.m. The PRIDE's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cavaliers have averaged an impressive 9.9  runs per game this season. As for Times Squared Academy, they are taking a road trip to  face off against Providence Country Day  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
