Antelope Valley extended their losing streak to seven on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-14. They came up short against the Desert Christian Knights, falling 16-10. Even if the Antelopes couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Anthony Lopez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Antelope Valley's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-13 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jackson Williams, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one stolen base.
As for Desert Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7-1 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.
On Desert Christian's side, Ian Cline made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Cline a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Doran Rivero was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Logan Mount was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.
Coming up, Antelope Valley will host Quartz Hill at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Antelopes will need to watch out since the Royals have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Desert Christian, they will square off against Paraclete at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spirits have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
