State records are falling in Washington, Missouri and Indiana as Brett Rypien, Kellen Overstreet and Markell Jones continue to make their cases for MaxPreps National Player of the Year honors.
Here's a look at all of the members of the National Player of the Year watch list and their accomplishments for the past week.

Jake Browning, Folsom (Calif.)
Browning could become the first quarterback in high school history to throw for over 70 touchdowns in a season twice when Folsom faces Franklin (Elk Grove) in the playoffs this week. Browning, who will play at Washington next year, has 64 touchdowns on the season after throwing for a national record eight in the first half of a playoff win over Stagg (Stockton, Calif.) last week. Browning has thrown six or more touchdowns in a game seven times this year.
Jacques Patrick, Timber Creek (Orlando, Fla.)
Patrick's season came to an end when Timber Creek lost to West Orange 42-21 in the first round of the playoffs. Patrick had 220 yards rushing and two touchdowns in the loss. He finished the season with 2,510 yards rushing and 34 touchdowns. He fell just short of moving into fourth place on the state's all-time rushing list. Patrick, a Florida State recruit, ends his career with 7,922 yards. Willie Green of Osceola (Kissimmee, Fla.) is fourth with 7,947 according to Buddy Collings of the Orlando Sentinel.
Josh Rosen, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.)
Navigating the Pac 5 playoff division unscathed will not be an easy task. UCLA-bound Rosen helped St. John Bosco accomplish the task last year and he's off to a good start this postseason. In a 50-0 win over Cabrillo, Rosen completed 11 of 18 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a score. For the season, Rosen has thrown for 2,505 yards and 25 touchdowns.
Sotonye Jamabo, Plano West (Texas)
After rushing for negative yardage in the final regular season game of the year, Jamabo ran for 145 yards on 17 carries with four touchdowns in a 66-41 win over Keller in a bi-district playoff game last week. For the season, Jamabo has 2,097 yards rushing on 207 carries with 45 overall touchdowns.
Kyler Murray, Allen (Texas)
Murray had one his best passing performances of the season in a 59-21 win over Keller Central in the bi-district playoffs. He completed 16 of 25 passes for 404 yards and six touchdowns to increase his season totals to 190 completions in 290 attempts for 3,375 yards and 38 touchdowns. He has also rushed for 900 yards on 80 carries with 18 touchdowns.
Markell Jones, Columbus East (Ind.)
Jones broke the single-season rushing yardage record in Indiana last week when he ran for 307 yards in a 42-14 win over Evansville Reitz. Jones' total of 3,379 yards surpasses the previous record of 3,366 set by Cory Jacquay of New Haven in 2001. Jones also has 7,642 career yards, which ranks second all-time behind Sammy Mireles of Elwood, who finished with 8,110 yards last year. Jones has also scored 59 touchdowns and 453 points, which ranks fourth all-time. His 750 career points ranks sixth all-time.
Kellen Overstreet, Penney (Hamilton, Mo.)
According to the Realray Record Book for Missouri state football records, Overstreet now holds at least 10 state records: Season rushing — 3,953 yards; career rushing — 9,169 yards; season rushing touchdowns — 61; career rushing touchdowns — 131; season overall touchdowns — 66; career overall touchdowns — 164; rushing yards per game in a season — 304 yards; total points in a season — 402 points; total points in a career — 996 points; touchdowns scored in a game — 8. Overstreet has a shot at breaking the national record for single-season touchdowns against Westran (Huntsville, Mo.). Overstreet has 66 touchdowns and the national record is 71.
Brett Rypien, Shadle Park (Spokane, Wash.)
Rypien went over 4,000 yards passing for the second time in his career as he completed 40 of 57 passes for 470 yards and five touchdowns in a 41-22 playoff win over Auburn Mountainview. Rypien has 4,223 yards passing on the season and could break the state record with a 377-yard effort this week. Kellen Moore of Prosser holds the state mark with 4,600 yards. With 12,270 career passing yards, Rypien is 683 yards behind all-time leader Max Browne of Skyline (Sammamish), who had 12,953 yards. With 935 career completions, Rypien has already broken Browne's state record (previously 882) in that category.

Damarkus Lodge, Cedar Hill (Texas)
Considered one of the top prospects in the country to start the season, Lodge has come on of late. He has 43 catches for 826 yards and 17 touchdowns on the year. Last week he caught four passes for 107 yards and a score in a 50-26 playoff win over Heritage (Colleyville, Texas). In an upset win over DeSoto earlier in the month, Lodge caught seven passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns.
Brady White, Hart (Newhall, Calif.)
Hart lost its first two games of the season, but it has gone 8-1 since, including a 30-22 playoff win over Edison (Huntington Beach). White has averaged nearly 350 yards in his last four games and has thrown for 3,465 yards and 43 touchdowns on the season. For his career, White is 727 of 1,135 for 10,575 yards and 107 touchdowns.
