Middletown has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Healdsburg Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Last Saturday, Middletown was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-53 to Cloverdale.
Meanwhile, Healdsburg waltzed into their game on Saturday with 15 straight wins but they left with 16. They walked away with a 46-34 win over Rancho Cotate. Given Healdsburg's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Rancho Cotate is ranked 447th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Middletown's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-7. As for Healdsburg, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-2.
Middletown barely slipped by Healdsburg in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, winning 49-48. Does Middletown have another victory up their sleeve, or will Healdsburg turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
