Baseball Recap: Saint Jeanne De Lestonnac Catholic School Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School won against Hamilton last Friday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Mustangs beat the San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Brandon Morinaga and Johnny Morinaga did most of the damage at the plate: Brandon scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Johnny went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Johnny a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Ludwig, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Coincidentally, Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School and San Jacinto Leadership Academy will both be playing Desert Christian Academy the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Conquerors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Lions will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
