The Livingston Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. Their tough 59-38 loss to Riverbank might stick with them for a while. Livingston has not had much luck with Riverbank recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Livingston lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isabella Zazueta, who scored 20 points. Zazueta continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasandra Soria, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Leading Riverbank to victory were taylor macias and Rayne Tago. macias scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Tago scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tago has scored all season. Kaelyn Tongson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.
Livingston has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Riverbank, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.
Livingston will be playing at home against Ripon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ripon is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Riverbank, Riverbank and Hilmar will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hilmar will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 695th, while Riverbank is ranked 182nd).
