The Buchholz Bobcats will face off against the Fleming Island Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Buchholz's favor as the squad sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Fleming Island has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, everything went Buchholz's way against North Marion as Buchholz made off with an 8-1 win. Considering the Bobcats have won three matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Aidan Kastensmidt made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned runs in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other pitching news, Cohen Lafler looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Blake Brewer was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Cedaris Smith was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Fleming Island had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Orange Park on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
The team relied heavily on Connor Massey, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
Buchholz's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Fleming Island, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Fleming Island's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Buchholz has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462. It's a different story for Fleming Island, though, as they've only averaged .317. Will they be able to contain Buchholz's hitters?
