The Don Lugo Conquistadores will face off against the Chino Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
On Wednesday, everything went Don Lugo's way against Montclair as Don Lugo made off with a 13-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Conquistadores in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won eight in a row.
Trevor Young tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Don Lugo got a massive performance out of Jaden Burillo, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-5. Those three stolen bases gave Burillo a new career-high. Javier Guzman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Don Lugo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Chino came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 10-0 shutout. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Nathan Sena, who gave up just a hit to keep Chaffey off the board. Sena has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Xiovany Ochoa, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Padilla, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Chino's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 8.67 hits in those games compared to only 4.5 in the others. As for Don Lugo, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
