The El Paso-Gridley Titans will challenge the Prairie Central Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Paso-Gridley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
El Paso-Gridley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Pontiac on Monday as they made off with an 11-5 victory. The Titans not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 10, 2025 (when they won 10-1).

Owen Adams and Caden Castleman were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Adams pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs but no hits. Meanwhile, Castleman struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. At the plate, Adams got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Castleman got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Adams has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Landon Garrels, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Carson Dohman was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.
El Paso-Gridley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, Prairie Central didn't have quite enough to beat Tri-Valley on Saturday and fell 4-3. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Mason Mcculloh made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Hartman, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Prairie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for El Paso-Gridley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
El Paso-Gridley couldn't quite finish off Prairie Central when the teams last played back in March of 2025 and fell 2-0. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
