Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Saturday, Elm Creek didn't have too much trouble with the Falcons on the road as they won 47-33.
Meanwhile, Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] came into Thursday's contest having lost 13 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They managed a 30-26 victory over Axtell on Thursday. The win was just what Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] needed coming off of a 47-22 loss in their prior match.
Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Malia Viter led the charge by scoring six points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Olivia Wall, who scored four points along with two steals.
Elm Creek has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], their victory bumped their record up to 2-18.
Everything went Elm Creek's way against the in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the Buffaloes made off with a 67-42 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s Zoey Evans, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
