Cam Johnson Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Corvian Community picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Cam Johnson. Johnson was excellent, rushing for 148 yards and three touchdowns, while also picking up 42 receiving yards. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (103.9). His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Johnson's next match is against Community School of Davidson on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort. The last time Johnson took on the Spartans, he rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Corvian Community Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to AJ Jackson Jr.
Corvian Community picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to AJ Jackson Jr.. Jackson Jr. was dynamite, rushing for 56 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 197 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes.
On the season, Jackson Jr. has thrown 9 touchdowns while averaging 107.4 passing yards per game.

Alex Waterfield Delivers Best Performance of Season
Bishop McGuinness was led to victory by Alex Waterfield, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Waterfield threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes, and also rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 58 yards.
If the past is any indication, Waterfield could be in store for another big game when he takes on Mountain Island Charter on Friday. Waterfield threw for 157 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 124 yards the last time he and the Raptors duked it out back in October of 2023.

Oliver Morris and Co. Win Fourth in a Row
Oliver Morris was instrumental in extending Community School of Davidson's winning streak to four on Friday. Morris did his part (and then some), picking up 62 receiving yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'. Community School of Davidson is undefeated when Morris posts two or more receiving touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
This year, Morris has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 46.6 receiving yards per game.

Joshua Moses Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Joshua Moses of Mountain Island Charter. Moses made six total tackles and defended a pass. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending a pass.
Mountain Island Charter's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4. Moses and Mountain Island Charter will venture away from home to square off against Bishop McGuinness at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
