Brookstone barely beat Shaw the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Brookstone Cougars were the clear victor by  a  12-2 margin over the Shaw Raiders on Wednesday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten  runs or more this season.
 Brennan Neal was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing  Three bases. while going 1-for-3. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last five games he's  played.  Charles Briscoe was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Brookstone was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .423. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .300 or higher in five consecutive  games.
Brookstone has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record  this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. Shaw's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
 Looking ahead, Brookstone will head out to  take on Heritage  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Shaw, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Kendrick  at 5:30  p.m. Kendrick has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.5  runs per game on average), something Shaw will no doubt try to take advantage of.
