Desert Mirage hasn't had much luck against Banning recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The RAMS will look to defend their home field against the Broncos at 3:30 p.m. Desert Mirage is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.
Desert Mirage proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 14) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Yucca Valley 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the RAMS have posted since March 12, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Saul Medrano, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Desert Mirage: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Edilverto Biarco was another key player, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Banning). They blew past Cathedral City 13-3 last Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Broncos sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Trevor Eisman was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Jayce Bartley was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nawish Miranda, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Desert Mirage now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Banning, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Desert Mirage has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Banning struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Desert Mirage suffered a grim 17-3 defeat to Banning in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the RAMS avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
