The San Marcos Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 26 points or more this season. They really took it to Lincoln for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-26 win on the road. That 65-26 margin sets a new team best for San Marcos this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Marcos to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyra Quinn, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 assists. Those 11 assists set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ava Wiedemann, who scored 18 points along with eight steals.
San Marcos' win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Lincoln, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Marcos will be home for the holidays to greet Palo Verde Valley at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Palo Verde Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 559th, while San Marcos is ranked 236th). Lincoln will be home for the holidays to greet Monte Vista at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. Monte Vista is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
