Southern Aroostook had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it five. They came up short against the Katahdin Cougars, falling 13-4. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Daniel Kuindersma made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Foster, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
As for Katahdin, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Considering they have won five contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
On Katahdin's side, Conor Schmidt made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Schmidt was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Leighton Rodgerson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, Katahdin got a massive performance out of Bradley Swallow, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Calvin Richardson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Southern Aroostook wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-9 defeat against Washburn on the 13th. As for Katahdin, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-3 win against Wisdom on the 13th.
