There's no place like home for The Travelers Rest Devildogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road two weeks ago. They skirted past Blue Ridge 24-21. The victory was just what Travelers Rest needed coming off of a 56-0 loss in their prior matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Blue Ridge lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Kb Henderson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Henderson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Travelers Rest's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Blue Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Travelers Rest will square off against Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Blue Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Daniel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Daniel knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten contests -- so hopefully Blue Ridge likes a good challenge.
