St. Bernard came out on top against Hoopa Valley on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Crusaders were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Warriors. Considering the Crusaders have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Bernard's let Mateo Reiman and Luke Brunton run wild. Reiman went 1-for-3 with three RBI, while Brunton went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Reiman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Maples, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

The win was the fourth in a row for St. Bernard's, bringing their record up to 17-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Hoopa Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.

St. Bernard's will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
