The Kennard-Dale Rams can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They rang in the new year with a 42-34 victory over Linville Hill. That looming 42-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Kennard-Dale yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Linville Hill had strong showings from Desiree Smucker, who scored 14 points along with three steals, and Courtney Good, who scored 14 points. The match was Smucker's seventh in a row with at least ten points.
Kennard-Dale's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Linville Hill, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennard-Dale will challenge Gettysburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Linville Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Alliance Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
