The Milpitas Trojans entered their tilt with the Santa Clara Bruins with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Milpitas managed a 48-44 win over Santa Clara on Saturday. For Milpitas, this counts as revenge for the 36-29 defeat Santa Clara walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Leading Milpitas to victory were Brennalyn David and Jasleen Dhaliwal. David scored eight points along with three steals, while Dhaliwal dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. David hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Milpitas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Santa Clara, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Gunn the next time they take the court. Santa Clara will host Gunn at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Milpitas will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
