It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Diego Rivera Huskies had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They took down the Cardinals 34-16. The win was some much needed relief for Diego Rivera as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Diego Rivera's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Desiree Aguillon, who scored 20 points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Collins, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine steals.
Diego Rivera's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for New Designs University Park, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.
Diego Rivera will take on Gardena at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. New Designs University Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
