The Azusa Aztecs had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 46-12 victory over Workman on the road. The victory was just what Azusa needed coming off of a 47-24 loss in their prior match.
Azusa can attribute much of their success to Ruby Untoria, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Lilliana Maldonado was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Azusa's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Workman, they bumped their record down to 3-19 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Azusa will take on Nogales at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Workman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Duarte at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
