The Truckee Wolverines can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Hug 32-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Truckee has posted yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Hug had strong showings from Taliyah Henderson, who scored nine points, and Andrea Trujillo, who scored nine points.
Truckee's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Hug, their defeat was their 13th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Truckee and South Tahoe will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. South Tahoe is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Hug, they will head out on the road to challenge North Valleys at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
