Tehachapi got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamie Neaderbaomer out in front who went 7-for-14 on her way to 18 points in addition to five assists and five steals. The match was Neaderbaomer's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Koree Rodden, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Tehachapi smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Monache blew past Bakersfield, posting a 60-13 win. The Marauders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 32 points or more this season.
Tehachapi better keep an eye on Milly Rojas. She was instrumental in Monache's win, almost dropping a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. What's more, Rojas also posted three blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Shelley Andrade was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Tehachapi pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.2 points. As for Monache, their record is now 21-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Tehachapi has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Monache struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Tehachapi didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Monache in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 38-34 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Rojas, who put up 16 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Tehachapi still be able to contain Rojas? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
