The Marysville Indians can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They claimed a resounding 63-35 victory over Twelve Bridges on the road. The win was familiar territory for Marysville who now have eight in a row.
Demi Boykin was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with five steals and three blocks. She hasn't dropped below four steals for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Pietz, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Twelve Bridges saw an underclassman step up: Addison Carpenter scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Carpenter has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maisie Dennis, who scored 11 points.
Marysville is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Twelve Bridges, they dropped their record down to 10-15 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Marysville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West at 5:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Marysville is facing West at the right time seeing as West is stuck on a eight-game losing streak. As for Twelve Bridges, they will be playing at home against Sutter at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Twelve Bridges focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Friday.
