The Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos will square off against the El Dorado Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
Last Friday, Twelve Bridges had to suffer through a rough 63-20 loss at the hands of Colfax. While losing is never fun, Twelve Bridges can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 688th, while Colfax is ranked 69th).
Despite the defeat, Twelve Bridges got a solid performance out of Tiffany Liu, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led El Dorado over Bradshaw Christian in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that El Dorado blew Bradshaw Christian out of the water with a 56-21 final score. With El Dorado ahead 31-9 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Alana Schneider was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 20 points, 14 rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of El Dorado's points. Another player making a difference was Emma Fulton, who scored five points along with four steals.
Twelve Bridges has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season. As for El Dorado, they pushed their record up to 16-11 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
