The Oakmont Vikings are taking a road trip to face off against the Colfax Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oakmont is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Last Friday, Oakmont got the win against Placer by a conclusive 7-1. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Jaylan Patterson looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four matches.
On the hitting side, Beau Ogles was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Christan Stella also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Oakmont hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Colfax, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Wheatland 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted against the Pirates since February 27, 2018.
Zach Danuser tossed a big game, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Garrett Lewis, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Drew Stowers, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Colfax has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
