Rancho Cucamonga is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over Ramona on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Cougars with their most commanding win of the season.
Rancho Cucamonga got a big performance out of Grant Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Trevor Newman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Rancho Cucamonga was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ramona only posted a batting average of .167.
Meanwhile, Etiwanda can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Dana Hills with a sharp 13-6 win. Etiwanda's victory was all the more impressive since the Dolphins were averaging only 3.89 runs allowed on the season.
Etiwanda let Angel Mejia and Lj Roellig run wild. Mejia went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Roellig went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs Roellig has posted since back in February of 2025. Another player making a difference was Derick Kim, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.
Etiwanda's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Rancho Cucamonga got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Etiwanda by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
