The Public Safety Academy Phoenix will face off against the Desert Mirage RAMS at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Public Safety Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Desert Mirage likes a good challenge.
Public Safety Academy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Norton Science & Language Academy with a sharp 16-0 win. While the Phoenix didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-15-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Alex Barragan made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

Public Safety Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .531 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Desert Mirage lost 10-3 to Coachella Valley on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the RAMS in their matchups with the Mighty Arabs: they've now lost three in a row.
Christian Cisneros-Morales was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Edilverto Biarco, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Desert Mirage now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Public Safety Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Public Safety Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Desert Mirage struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
