Heritage won the last time they faced South Gwinnett and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Heritage Patriots blew past the South Gwinnett Comets 17-6. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Heritage let Will Bush and Denzel Gillespie run wild. Bush scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Gillespie scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Mason Lynch was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Heritage has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. South Gwinnett's loss was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.
