South Stokes had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt South Davidson on Thursday. The Sauras put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Sauras this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-16, 25-15.

South Stokes had a senior duo take command as Ellie White had seven digs and four aces and Hannah Mcgee had eight digs and three aces.

South Stokes was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in six consecutive games.

South Stokes is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for South Davidson, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-8.
