The Hemet Bulldogs are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Tahquitz Titans at 5:30 p.m. on December 5th. Tahquitz took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hemet, who comes in off a win.
Hemet has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 26 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 55-25 victory over La Sierra on the road. Given Hemet's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while La Sierra is ranked 783rd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hemet's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Glory Valencia, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds and 8 steals, and Ruby Lindsey, who scored 19 points along with 7 assists and 5 steals. Valencia continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayana Olds, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-39, which was the final score in Tahquitz's tilt against Paloma Valley on Thursday.
Their wins bumped Hemet to 4-1 and La Sierra to 3-3.
Hemet took a serious blow against Tahquitz in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 63-35. Can Hemet avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
