St. Mary had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with  a   6-1  win over the Rocklin Thunder  on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but St. Mary's sure is getting used to it with their 17th in a row.
  Tanner Grove spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, St. Mary's saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Michael Quedens, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brady Errecart, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 On Rocklin's side, they got a good showing from  Jesse Cuthill, who   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits.
 St. Mary's has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 20 of their last 21 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record  this season. As for Rocklin, their loss dropped their record down to 24-10.
 As of now, neither St. Mary's nor Rocklin have any future games scheduled.
