The Dock Mennonite Pioneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 50-25 loss at the hands of Collegium Charter. Dock Mennonite has not had much luck with the Cougar recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Kori Beasley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Collegium Charter, scoring 22 points along with eight steals. Beasley hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciani Hamilton, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.
Dock Mennonite's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.3 points per game. As for Collegium Charter, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dock Mennonite will take on the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Collegium Charter, they will be playing at home against the Vanguards at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
