It was a good run, but the Leyton Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bayard. If Leyton hoped to take revenge for the 64-52 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
It was another big night for Lexi Fiscus, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds for Bayard. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fiscus has scored all season. Joslyn Shay hopkins was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.
Leyton's loss dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Bayard, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leyton will take on Banner County at TBD on Tuesday. Banner County is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Bayard, they will be playing at home against Minatare at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Minatare comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last 12 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
