It was another big night for Jordyn McMillan, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Valerie Marquez, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Helix and bumps their season record up to 11-4. As for Grossmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. Grossmont won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bonita Vista at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Bonita Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Thursday.
