Selinsgrove has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Selinsgrove Seals and the Waynesboro Indians will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Waynesboro took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Selinsgrove, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Selinsgrove strolled past Mifflinburg with points to spare, taking the game 43-28.
Selinsgrove's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kristin Shaffer, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Shaffer also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Howell, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Waynesboro lost to South Western at home by a decisive 52-34 margin last Monday. While losing is never fun, Waynesboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while South Western is ranked 101st).
Selinsgrove's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Waynesboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
