Marriotts Ridge won the last time they faced Hammond and things went their way on Friday too. Marriotts Ridge was the clear victor by an 18-4 margin over Hammond. Marriotts Ridge might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Gianna Peluso, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Tasch, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Marriotts Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win made it two in a row for Marriotts Ridge and bumps their season record up to 9-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Hammond, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.
