Tulare Western and Tulare Union are an even 4-4-2 against one another since February of 2020, but likely not for long. The Tulare Western Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Tulare Union The Tribe at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Tulare Western has not lost a match since December 14, 2023, a trend which continued in their latest game on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Lemoore. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Tulare Western was the better team in the second half.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Lauren Starr and
Milea Rogers, who scored all three of Tulare Western's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 16 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Tulare Union had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Dinuba.
Tulare Western pushed their record up to 17-4-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five contests. As for Tulare Union, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13-3.
Tulare Western took their victory against Tulare Union in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tulare Western since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
