For the first time this season, La Cueva was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Volcano Vista Hawks finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Friday. La Cueva had to tread lightly for part of the contest as five La Cueva players were handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Their goal came courtesy of Brice Clark, who's now up to four this season.

With that draw, La Cueva's record moves to 2-0-1. As for Volcano Vista, they moved theirs to 3-0-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Cueva will face off against Rio Rancho at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rio Rancho's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Volcano Vista, they will square off against Sandia at 4:30 p.m. on September 10. Volcano Vista's defense better be ready for this one: Sandia have averaged an impressive 3 goals per game this season.
