This season hasn't been kind to the GALA Goddesses, who are still winless after their fifth match. They were outmatched by George Washington Prep at home and fell 86-15. The result was an unpleasant reminder to GALA of the 76-12 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why GALA lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Lauren Pang-Le. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pang-Le has scored all season.
GALA's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for George Washington Prep, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
GALA will head out on the road to take on Dorsey at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Dorsey comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for George Washington Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Lakeview Charter at 6:00 p.m. Lakeview Charter is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
