In what's become a running theme this season, the Hoopa Valley Warriors gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They blew past Ferndale 68-45. Hoopa Valley pushed the score to 59-38 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had little chance of recovering from.
Tashee Tracy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Harmony Nelson was another key contributor, scoring five points along with ten rebounds and eight assists.
Tinnley Pidgeon and Clara Albee certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Pidgeon scored 13 points, while Albee scored 12 points.
Hoopa Valley has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Ferndale, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoopa Valley will take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ferndale, they will be playing at home against the Cubs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Fork will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 918th, while the Wildcats are ranked 347th).
