The Orthopaedic Vipers were the 20-16 winner over the Central City Value Jaguars when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Orthopaedic took a 27-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central City Value on Friday.
Central City Value was led to victory by Amy Lazaro and Ruby Pacheco. Lazaro scored ten points along with four steals, while Pacheco scored eight points along with 16 rebounds. Lazaro has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played.
Orthopaedic's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Central City Value, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orthopaedic will take on Annenberg at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Annenberg's defense has only allowed 18.5 points per game this season, so Orthopaedic's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Central City Value, they will be playing at home against Aspire Ollin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aspire Ollin is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
