The James Logan Colts will challenge the Dougherty Valley Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. James Logan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row dating back to last season, James Logan turned things around against Deer Valley on Thursday. They never let the Wolverines get on the board and left with a 33-0 win. The Colts' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ben Towers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Nate Lally was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those runs were his first of the season. DJ Mandigal was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, three runs, and one double.
James Logan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .673. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2024.
Meanwhile, Dougherty Valley fell victim to Northgate and their airtight pitching crew last Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Broncos. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dougherty Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ricardo Feliciano, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
James Logan's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Dougherty Valley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-4.
James Logan was able to grind out a solid win over Dougherty Valley in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 7-4. Will James Logan repeat their success, or does Dougherty Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
