John Milledge Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Terrell Academy on Saturday. The John Milledge Academy Trojans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Terrell Academy Eagles an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Trojans have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Kolt McMichael made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

McMichael wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Whidby, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Another was Bradyn Harrisson, who scored two runs while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

John Milledge Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Terrell Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Coming up, John Milledge Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Brentwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Brentwood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Terrell Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Brookstone at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brookstone will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Terrell Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
