Fort Calhoun had won five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 6-0 to make it six. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Raymond Central Mustangs. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Tacey Belina spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Dehlia Hallberg was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in October of 2024. Lyla Pearson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
