Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bees vs. Osmond Tigers

The Bloomfield Bees will take on the Osmond Tigers in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bloomfield has six straight wins, Osmond has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Bloomfield was fully in charge, breezing past Wakefield 69-22. The Bees have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 36 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bloomfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madyson Mlady, who posted 19 points. The game was Mlady's sixth in a row with at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Mlady, who put up 17 points.

Meanwhile, Osmond lost to Boyd County at home by a 50-31 margin on Tuesday.

Bloomfield will have to contain Kaleigh Miller as she made an impact in Osmond's last game. She dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Carianna Kumm, who scored six points along with 12 boards and four blocks.

Bloomfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Osmond, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Bloomfield hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 65.2 points per game. It's a different story for Osmond, though, as they've been averaging only 25.8 points. The only thing between Bloomfield and another offensive beatdown is the Tigers. Will they be able to keep them contained?

Bloomfield strolled past Osmond when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 68-51. Will the Bees repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
