Eden Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a 47-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sewickley Academy. Eden Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Eden Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmie Smith, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Allie Emswiler, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Eden Christian Academy's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Sewickley Academy, their win ended a 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-10.
Eden Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Scotties at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sewickley Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
