The Salinas Cowboys won the last time they faced the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Salinas enjoyed a cozy 65-47 victory over Rancho San Juan. The win made it back-to-back wins for Salinas.
Salinas found their leader in underclassman Alice Uchida, who scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that Uchida scored 15 or more points. Payton Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Salinas' win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Rancho San Juan, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Salinas will be home for the holidays to greet Carmel at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Carmel will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1225th, while Salinas is ranked 565th). As for Rancho San Juan, they will head out on the road to face off against Gonzales at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
