Lamar County had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Towers Titans a 12-0 shutout. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Lamar County pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Towers, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lamar County and Towers will both be playing Social Circle the next time they take the field. The Trojans will head out to face the Redskins at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Titans will host them at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th.
