The Pacific Ridge Firebirds will be playing at home against the Santa Fe Christian Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Fe Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Pacific Ridge, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Pacific Ridge's game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Foothills Christian. The win was just what Pacific Ridge needed coming off of a 5-2 defeat in their prior match.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Sophie Wibbenmeyer and
Ella Robinson, who scored all three of Pacific Ridge's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 12 so far this season.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Santa Fe Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 7-0 loss at the hands of Francis Parker.
Pacific Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 11-6-3. As for Santa Fe Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8-2.
Everything went Pacific Ridge's way against Santa Fe Christian in their previous matchup back in January as Pacific Ridge made off with a 4-1 win. With Pacific Ridge ahead 3-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
